Three schools came together for the Ramani Career Day in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County on March 18, 2017. RCEA Biwott Ngalel Tarit Secondary School played host while Eldoret Central Secondary School and Umoja Secondary School sent their students along. In total, there were 450 of their students ranging from Form 1-4. Though their material resources varied, all three schools are at roughly the same level of academic performance, ranging from a D grade at the lowest to a C at the highest.
This was Ramani’s biggest event yet, with 50 volunteers, some of them university students and professionals, some from Nairobi and some from Eldoret, including the Rotary Club of Eldoret. A keynote speech from Daudi Sumba, the Vice President Program Design at African Wildlife Foundation, on making a difference wherever you are no matter the circumstances inspired the students. The neediest of the three schools, RCEA Biwott Ngalel Tarit Secondary School played host while Eldoret Central Secondary School and Umoja Secondary School received a laptop and projector each from funds donated to Ramani
